Ombudsman orders £6,500 compensation after family left in damp and mould for nearly six years

The Ombudsman has ordered Lambeth Council to pay £6,500 after it left a resident and her family with a leaking roof and resulting damp and mould and was slow to respond to concerns raised by the school.

The Ombudsman has made two findings of severe maladministration against Catalyst Housing for failing to fix damp and mould repairs issues as well as a damaged driveway, causing significant distress to a disabled resident and her son.
